Soren Kierkegaard, the great Danish theologian said, “our greatest achievement is to let God help us.” What a comfort it can be to come to the realization that after we make our prayers known to God that God knows what to do next. Instead of telling God just how our prayer needs to be answered, and how the miracle is supposed to arrive, we can let go, and let God handle the big stuff. We can place our trust in a God who is a master of the details. We are a hands on people and we like to do things that bring results. Perhaps it is time we began to practice letting go, and letting God care for us. If there is something that we are to do we affirm that God will point us in that direction, but in the meantime, we have a partner, one that loves us unconditionally and will co-create with us to achieve great things.
God is always far more willing to help us than we are willing to allow that perfect Spirit to bless us. That often sounds hard to believe, but it is true. God longs to bless us, longs to have relationship with us and delights when we communicate with God. We can communicate by sitting in quiet meditation and experience God’s perfect Light and Spirit moving in and through and as us, we can communicate with God through our silent and spoken prayers, and so beautifully we can communicate with God by simply acknowledging the Divine Presence and saying “thank you.”
Let go, let God, and let the miracles happen. As a minister friend of mine has so beautifully said, “my day begins and ends with God, all the rest is just commentary.”
“See if I will not open the windows of heaven for you and pour down for you an overflowing blessing. (Malachi 3:10b)
Affirmation: “I relax, I let go, and I let God fill my life with wonders.”
