What are you thinking today? Are your thoughts taking you to a place where you would like to be? A place that is calm, serene, peaceful and moves you to experience a greater good? Or are your thoughts focused on lack, limitation, negativity and all those things you deem to be wrong in life?
What we think about magnifies in our life. The focus of our thoughts places before us the things that we are willing to see and experience.
Here is a simple exercise, not original to me, but one that I think illustrates the point. Imagine with me that all thought begins as water and every time you think a thought ice is formed. The substance of the ice is still thought, but the ice now formed has become the manifestation of your thought. As you travel through your day this ice surrounds you and is all that you see. It either aids you in your journey, or it blocks your path. Negative thoughts create roadblocks, obstacles and gorges far too deep to overcome. Change your focus and the ice that was once negative thought begins to melt. Change your focus again and the ice is formed into that which enhances and sustains perfect life. It changes into that which affirms new life. Opportunities, peace, love, healing and joy cannot help but be experienced because this is what has been formed by the molding of your thought into ice.
All of this started with your thought and has created your world without making a judgment call on what was formed. It responded to your choice and delivered it by the direction of your thought/word.
There is a saying, change your thinking, change your life. In the beginning was indeed the Word and that Word was life in all its beauty and magnificence. That Word began with a thought and so does yours.
So, what are you thinking today?
“In the beginning was the Word….” (John 1:1)
Affirmation: “Guarding my thoughts, I affirm the perfect presence of God, right here, right now, right where I am.”
Rev. Jefferson Beeker
We live our lives one thought at a time. Let each of those thoughts really count for something wonderful.
Be prepared to change your thinking and change your life. Please join us each Sunday at 5:30 PM in our Social Hall at First Christian Church, North Hollywood, CA for our Contemporary Celebration and Praise service. Come as you are and enjoy an hour of great music from our wonderful band and singers, inspiring messages and good fellowship. Those things in life that you have been seeking have also been seeking you. Now is a good time to receive them.
Also, join me on Wednesday evenings from 7 to 8 PM for an hour of guided and silent meditation, reflection, affirmation and prayer. As always, we will share communion together. Everyone is welcome.
