Too often it seems that we live our lives from the outside in.  We spend our time reacting to outside forces and stimuli instead of relying on a greater reality and being led by the Spirit that dwells within.   The news comes on TV and we listen and soon we believe that what is going on in the world, strife, turmoil, distrust and emptiness, has to be the truth of who we are, that it has to be our reality as well.  It can be, if we choose to participate in that, but we can also affirm for ourselves other truths. Truths that affirm the power of God moving and acting in, and through, and as us.  We need look no further for God/Spirit than right where we are, within our very being.  We too easily forget who created us and who is the guiding force in our lives.  Perhaps if we change our perspective, rely on the God within, and move forward from that place of faith and hope we will not only fulfill our God given dreams, but also be a force that changes the rest of the outside world.  Call it mission, call it evangelism.  How about we just call it living in unity with the Christ?

“Christ, our cornerstone.  “In him the whole structure is joined together and grows into a holy temple in the Lord; in whom you also are built together spiritually into a dwelling place for God.”  (Ephesians 2: 21, 22)

Affirmation:  “I keep my connection with God open and active.  Our conversations are always beautiful.”

Rev. Jefferson Beeker

We live our lives one thought at a time.  Let each of those thoughts really count for something wonderful.

Be prepared to change your thinking and change your life.  Please join us each Sunday at 5:30 PM in our Social Hall at First Christian Church, North Hollywood, CA for our Contemporary Celebration and Praise service. Come as you are and enjoy an hour of great music from our wonderful band and singers, inspiring messages and good fellowship. Those things in life that you have been seeking have also been seeking you. Now is a good time to receive them. We will lift one another to live exciting, abundant new lives of possibility and purpose.

Also, join me on Wednesday evenings from 7 to 8 PM for an hour of guided and silent meditation, reflection, affirmation and prayer.  As always, we will share communion together.  Everyone is welcome.
