Our words and our thoughts have great power. They are the seeds that we plant to create each and every moment of our lives. Those seeds grow and are nurtured through still even more words and thoughts and they shape us at the very core of who we are.

Our words help us to form our outlook for how we see the world. Do we see a world of abundance, or scarcity? Do we see a world that is unrepairable, or do we see a world with great potential? Do we view others as cherished creations of a loving God, or do we see them as adversaries and we are superior?

Our words shape how we see the world around us, but they also shape how we see ourselves. Do we use words that affirm that we are successful, healthy, loving, capable of doing many things well, or do we use words that put ourselves down and belittle ourselves?

Each word that we use, about others, or about ourselves, is shaping who we are.   Our negative words soon show up for us as ill health, an aging look and an energy atmosphere that brings more of the same into our reality. Positive words uplift us, give us hope, nurture our bodies and draw to us more of what we would truly like to experience.

Stopping to make sure we are connected with God, and living in the Presence of Christ, can help us choose the words and the thought seeds we plant that create for us a more abundant and fulfilling life.  Through a prayer, in meditation, or hearing an inspirational piece of music we can be lifted to offering words that create for us a life filled with hope, positive energy and new resolve for seeing an abundant future.

How do you want the garden that is your life to look? Seeds will be planted one way or the other, we get to decide what those seeds might be.   Those seeds will create the garden of our life.  Want to see weeds, or beautiful flowers?  It’s your choice.

What words are you planting today that will be the blooms of your tomorrows?

“For the word that goes out from my month: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.”    (Isaiah 55: 11)

Affirmation: “The words of my mouth and the meditations of my heart create the world I choose to experience.”

We live our lives one thought at a time. Let each of those thoughts really count for something wonderful.

Be prepared to change your thinking and change your life. Please join us each Sunday at 5:30 PM in our Social Hall at First Christian Church, North Hollywood, CA for our Contemporary Celebration and Praise service. Come as you are and enjoy an hour of great music from our wonderful band and singers, inspiring messages and good fellowship. Those things in life that you have been seeking have also been seeking you. Now is a good time to receive them.
