Do not underestimate the power of God. Our minds have such a limited scope, a limited frame of reference and so quite naturally we limit what we think is possible in our lives. In doing that we also limit God. We begin to see God in human image instead of seeing ourselves as a human creation of a God who is infinite.
This infinite, all knowing and all powerful energy of God moves through us in amazing ways, as long as we don’t put up roadblocks. If we keep saying “no” to God, or keep thinking nothing good ever happens in our lives, we have put up a mighty huge roadblock. But even if we start with, “well, maybe…” we are making a powerful affirmation that this roadblock is being dismantled. Perhaps it is coming down one stone at a time, but it is coming down all the same.
Remove that roadblock and we are no longer choking off that seed of an idea, dream or possibility that God has planted in our minds. With an attitude that all things (even those we can’t right now imagine) are possible with God, we can nurture that seed of an idea and it can begin to grow.
But God has something for us to do. The idea is just a start. From that idea, created by God, we are required to take action. It is an action directed by our continual relationship with God in prayer, discernment and reflection, and it is an action that we must take. If our lines of communication with God are clear we will know what action is ours to do. We will recognize the opportunities God has placed in front of us and move on those opportunities knowing God gives us all we need, as we need it, for the fulfillment and blossoming of this idea.
We must not underestimate what God can do in our lives. We must be aware, and with thanksgiving, allow God, to be God, in all Spirits magnificence, in our lives.
“You, O Lord, are the greatness, the power, the glory, the victory, and the majesty; for all that is in the heavens and on the earth is yours.” (1 Chronicles 29: 11)
Affirmation: “The very air I breathe is vibrant with the power of God. Thank you God, for the sustaining energy of your presence that surrounds me always.”
