Have you ever wondered how Facebook knows to place its ads for various things on the side of your personal page? Ads that you might be interested in and picked based on your past browsing behavior? It seems to know what sights you’ve explored on the web and targets you with these ads. Scary. Past behavior and action continues to show up on your page.

But what about the rest of your life? What thoughts and words are you putting forth today that will appear in your life? Are your thoughts and words ones of health, abundance, success and happiness? Or are they thoughts of defeat, lack, limitation and aloneness?

As amazing as it is that the world-wide-web knows our interests and activities it pales to the way in which events in the rest of our lives play out based on our thoughts and beliefs. It also pales in the way God knows us. God is far more willing to give to us blessings of life and affirmations of grace than we are willing to accept. But accept them we must if they are to become a part of our day to day living experience. We cannot experience and accept something we are not willing to first affirm. So why not affirm that which we truly desire, that which we would truly wish to experience and live? It begins with a thought; it becomes a word, and shows up in our lives. Our thoughts of the presence of God, becoming a word (“thank you”) can truly create miracles in our lives.

“I am the good shepherd. I know my own and my own know me, just as the Father knows me and I know the Father.” (John 10: 14)

Affirmation: “I know that God is right where I am at every moment.”

We live our lives one thought at a time.  Let each of those thoughts really count for something wonderful.

Be prepared to change your thinking and change your life.  Please join us each Sunday at 5:30 PM in our Social Hall at First Christian Church, North Hollywood, CA for our Contemporary Celebration and Praise service. Come as you are and enjoy an hour of great music from our wonderful band and singers, inspiring messages and good fellowship. Those things in life that you have been seeking have also been seeking you. Now is a good time to receive them. We will lift one another to live exciting, abundant new lives of possibility and purpose.

Also, join me on Wednesday evenings from 7 to 8 PM for an hour of guided and silent meditation, reflection, affirmation and prayer.  As always, we will share communion together.  Everyone is welcome.
