From the love of pure spirit within, I bless this gift. I send it forth to heal and bless and prosper. It is evidence of my faith and belief. It does good work in the world and returns to me multiplied abundantly.”     (Offering Affirmation)

The above affirmation is one that is read at each service in a good friend’s church. I love this and find great meaning in it as the congregation prepares to place their gifts of abundance into the offering plate.

It is indeed the love of pure Spirit God that blesses us with what we have. We are called to bless that gift as we place it into the offering plate. Our blessing of that gift goes forth to touch the lives of others and to further the work of Christ in our community and around our world. Just as the woman in scripture gave all that she had, our faith and our belief in God’s perfect abundance creates a powerful flow of Divine energy in, through and as each of us, and it has a mighty ripple effect in our world. Our blessing of the gift, added to others blessing their gift, is multiplied over and over again, and the Spiritual increase it creates is one that cannot be measured by mere humans.

A gift given is a gift received. Given in faith and thanksgiving it is received in faith and thanksgiving. The sending and the receiving continue as in a huge circle. There is no beginning and no end, there is just the cycle of energy creating still more of all that God blesses upon our world.

Pure spirit within is our guide and what a wonderful journey it is.

Affirmation: “I bless all of my gifts of Spirit and see them move forth to change the world.
