“For I am the Lord, your God, who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, do not fear; I will help you.”  (Isaiah 41:13)

Dear God, as we may often face uncertain and fearful times, help us to know that you are with us always, that through all the twists and turns on the road of life, that you have us firmly by the hand. In the midst of sadness, in the midst of unasked for change, may we see with you new and exciting possibility. Help us to see that though old doors may be closing around us, there are new doors of opportunity opening wide and you are calling us forth to amazing new adventures. Guide us ever so gently and lovingly to those new opportunities that await us. May we also affirm that with new opportunities you also give us all that we need to successfully navigate those new waters. Help us to have the faith to step through that threshold and embrace you. Help us to see and understand that which you have ordained and called us to do. And as always, Lord, help us to know that we are never alone, that you are right where we are at every moment, supporting and holding us in your loving arms of grace.

Affirmation: “Thank you God for lifting the burdens of fear and worry from our weary souls and showing us the light of a beautiful new tomorrow.”

God Is Always So Much More

“For now we see in a mirror dimly, but then we will see face to face. Now I know only in part; then I will know fully, even as I have been known.”   (1 Corinthians 13: 12)

The Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. said “Everything that we see is a shadow cast by that which we do not see.” This illustrates so beautifully that God is larger than anything we could ever imagine. We try to define that which God is and yet however we endeavor to do that we will always come up short; God is always so much more. Let us remember that as we come to God in prayer. Let us affirm that no matter what may be going on in our lives, or in the lives of our loved ones, that God is capable of handling that situation. Let us not limit God by the limits of our own minds, our own beliefs. Let us pour out your hearts to God and know that God can provide, abundantly, so much more than we could ever begin to imagine. Let us affirm that we recognize the answers to our prayers as they occur, for without this recognition we run the risk of missing our miracles. And then, let us be thankful that although God is everywhere and in everything, that we can recognize God showing up in our lives in new and exciting ways each day.

I believe it is so true that we should never limit our lives based on our history.  Our history is just our history, is not an indicator of the way things must now always be for us.  It is our faith in an unconditionally loving God that overrides precedent in our lives.  Our faith reminds us, and leads us, to new understanding of how Spirit/God is moving us forward in answering our prayers in more magnificent ways than we could ever imagine.  If we limit God to what we have experienced before few miracles can occur in our lives.  Believe that God can create new vision in your life, believe that God can move you from where you are to where you want to be, and your experience of that Spirit within, that is filling you with glorious light and God-energy, will soon catch up with your belief.  The shadow is just a shadow, but the reality is always so much more.  Belief is the seed from which miracles happen.

God is always a God of new beginnings. Because that is what God does.  God creates and God continues to create in, and through, and as, each and every one of us as our awareness and our willingness to co-create with God becomes our deepest desire.  Because God’s presence flows continually to us creation is just the natural flow of things.

You wouldn’t turn your radio dial to a hard rock station if you wanted to hear classical music.  Like dialing a radio to the station we wish to hear let us atune our faith to God through prayer, meditation, affirmation and trust and know that we are blessed immeaserably at ever moment.

Affirmation: “Beyond words, beyond thoughts, into the absolute stillness, I rest in the presence of God.  Creation abounds in my life and each new beginning is glorious.”

A Whole and Lasting Life

“This is how much God loved the world: He gave his Son, his one and only Son. And this is why: so that no one need be destroyed; by believing in him, anyone can have a whole and lasting life.”       (John 3: 16)

It is often a bit overwhelming to stop and meditate on just how much God loves us. It is true however, that God loves us each and every one completely, fully and unconditionally.

I think that one of the things that stops so many of us from fully experiencing this wonderful love of God is that we feel we could not be worthy of such devotion and outpouring of love. After all, which one of us has earned the love of God? Which one of us has lived a life completely as God would have us live our life? Or still yet, our perception of how God desires us to live our lives cannot possibly measure up to how God really wants us to live our lives.

How could God possibly love us so unconditionally in all of our humanness? As humans we make so many mistakes, and as humans we also use that as an excuse for the mistakes that we make. God sent Jesus, the Christ, onto our earth as a human being and Jesus knows what it is like to live a human life, with all of its temptations and with all of its fears and doubts. Still, it is this perfect love of God that carries us through all those times of fear and doubt and that leads us to experiencing a greater life when we trust in this love of God, always right where we are.

I would encourage you to take a few moments, and take them often, to sit quietly and contemplate the just how much God loves you.  What a great experience of Spirit awaits you.

Affirmation: “It is the love of God that lights the path before me, leading me to wondrous new expressions of God’s blessing.”

God Energy and Vibration

“Agree with God, and be at peace; in this way good will come to you.” (Job 22:21)

Look into the mirror and what do you see? The answer to that is probably obvious. However, when we look into that mirror we may often see ourselves through eyes that affirm lack, limitation, ill health, bad relationships and limited prospects. But God sees us much differently. Suppose we look again in that mirror and see ourselves as God sees us.   God sees us as Spirits perfect creation. Created in the image and likeness of a perfect God. If we wish to experience God’s abundant blessings we need to begin, right where we are, to see our lives in a new way. We need to be in agreement with God, attune ourselves to Spirits vibration of love, grace, and divine light, affirming a new truth, the real truth, about ourselves. That truth of how God sees us. As we create within ourselves a new pattern of belief we open a space within our own consciousness to see our lives differently. We can begin to harmonize perfectly with God’s divine energy and vibration and soon what we begin to see in our daily lives is the manifestation of how God sees us.

This is the very definition of true prayer.  Changing ourselves to experience those gifts of the Spirit that await our recognition and acceptance.  Prayer is never to change God, but to change us.  To alter our belief, our perception and our vision of our beautiful human experience.  Why wait to experience the fullness of all that Spirit/God would have you live out?

Agree with God. Affirm this mighty presence in your life. Know that you are a perfect creation of a perfect God. And so it is.

Affirmation: “In tune with God I live a spirit filled life.”

Thank God That You Are Loved Unconditionally

“Keep alert, stand firm in your faith, be courageous, be strong.”   (1 Corinthians 16: 13)

“And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” (Matthew 28:20)

There have always been two things that have been at the forefront of my ministry. Thoughts that have been, and always will be, important for me to teach.

Firstly, I want you to know that God loves you unconditionally. I know many people have trouble accepting that. I have gotten emails and have had conversations with people who, because they are focused on what their life has been in the past, they just can’t believe God is really forgiving. But it is true, God does love you unconditionally. There is no way you can earn God’s love and there is no way you can lose God’s love. The grace and care of Spirit/God is always available to move your life forward to amazing possibility. It is the most precious gift in all the world. What we must do is humbly accept this gift of unconditional love, live it and share it freely with people everywhere that they too may know the exciting presence and power of God in their lives. God’s love is inclusive, no respecter of persons, and so too must ours.

Secondly, we must always know that we can never be alone, for God is always right where we are at every moment. Take your hand, place it on your chest, feel the beat of your heart. That’s God, that’s the life force within you that God created in the very beginning. It sustains you, nurtures you and blesses you. You need only look within yourself to find the presence, power, grace and blessing of a God who showers you with blessings too numerous to name or to number.

The spiritual practices we engage in, such as prayer, meditation, daily devotional readings, etc., help us to remember God’s presence as well as assist us through times that are challenging. Just pausing periodically in your day to say “Thank you God,” can be a game-changer in making your daily walk one of seeing opportunity instead of obstacle.

Begin to celebrate, starting today, that God is always right where you are, and that you are loved now and always unconditionally.

Affirmation: “Thank you God.”

Check Your Thoughts

“Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it?”     Isaiah 43:19a

What are you thinking about today? What thoughts do you dwell on today? Sometimes it’s good for us to take a moment and be accountable to ourselves for ourselves. If we are thinking today in a negative way our thoughts get stuck on seeing the unpleasant and the hurtful side of life. When that happens we get stuck in looking for more things to be negative about. Not a very productive way to spend our day. Of course if you really desire to see more discord in your life congratulations, you are well on your way.

Even when things are not going as we would have them to go we can change the direction of our thinking by declaring we will seek to see things in a different way. We can renew our spirit and our outlook by remembering that God is always right where we are and that God is always so much larger than any circumstance that we are facing. How much more pleasant are the thoughts of peace and joy and possibility than those of defeat. This is not being a Pollyanna, or practicing wish fulfillment, but it is a spiritual truth that the things we choose to focus upon become the dominant actions that appear in our lives. Author Ella Wheeler Wilcox wrote: “Say you are well, or all is well with you and God shall hear your words and make them true.” This is a powerful form of affirmative prayer. It is what Jesus did when he healed. He saw past the appearances that were placed before him and he saw and affirmed a great truth of God.

Don’t let yourself get so far away from God that you need a GPS to find your way back. God loves you. Allow that beautiful passion for life that dwelled within you when you first discovered God’s power in your life to be renewed and restored today. Wonderful new possibility awaits your faith and belief in the one through whom all things are possible.

Affirmation: “Life is ever changing and God moves with me to make each new moment filled with amazing possibility.”
